When Trillium opened in October 1999, Peter and Renee Teller believed a fitness center should be rooted by a single stem of faith with body, mind and spirit intertwined. Trillium is both a mission and passion. Renee's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and after treatment, was cancer free for ten years. It then returned in the form of kidney cancer. Renee, a CPA who worked in real estate development for the Pyramid Company, was inspired to start Trillium after researching alernatives to degenerative disease. She asked her sister Barb to partner in the endeavor and be the head trainer and director of club operations. Their mother passed away in September 2001, five years after the cancer returned. Trillium Fitness offers people the opportunity to embark on a life changing journey to obtain a better quality of life.
